Analyzing permits over the last 4 years shows that Richmond American Homes of Fl mostly works on new construction projects. Not enough support from office management, too many homes one person to effectively manage and build a quality home. The executive/corporate structure is extremely outdated and it shows through everything else. Benefits, pay, time off, regulations, etc. are all subpar. Lower level employees have to work extremely hard and it makes the executives a ridiculous amount of money.
I’ve worked for RIchmond American Homes for over 15 years. I started as a Forward Planning Manager and am currently a Regional President. I have met so many incredibly talented people who have made me better.
After Close don't expect a whole lot of help or contact from the builder.

Sales
This rating has been stable over the past 12 months. Management is inconsistent and plays favorites. Rules apply to most, but not to all employees. Favorites are placed in best positions and kept there despite poor performance, including tardiness, lack of reporting as everyone else is subjected to. Work hours are long and responsibilities from all departments role down hill to sales staff. Marketing, production, construction, etc, sales is held responsible and often blamed.

Winter just hit and my heater doesn’t even work. There is still work that needs to be finished but hasn’t been acknowledged I’m months now. Once I bought the home and paid, it’s been a nightmare. Although the projected completion time was longer than expected, the home is great and the sales/contracting teams were very professional. Although, I feel that construction workers really should not leave their food and beverage garbage in someone's home.

Give communities more than on model already. You will lose deals because you have been given lies to sell. With all the home builders out there, do not choose this one unless you love drama created by management. Childish behavior, intolerance, rude, unhelpful, ungrateful and demeaning. The block next to us, started after our street, started after our foundation was already in place for 4 months, and most of the block has people living on it.

They will build cheaper houses all around your block and let yours and several others just sit undone for weeks between doing anything on them and what they do is very minimal and poor quality. Basically, get cheap easy build houses built so they can get a quick profit. Save yourself a year of heartbreak and go with someone else. 10 months and counting no wiring, no closing date, no real completion date and we were supposed to move in July.
